Grinox is built to keep your videos on your device. There is no account, nothing you record is uploaded, and the camera frames that make your prank video never leave the phone.
Grinox has no sign-up and no server that stores your content. Your takes, looks, finished videos and your Creation Credit balance live in the app's own private storage on this device.
Grinox asks for camera access the first time you tap Start Camera. The front camera feed is used to show your viewfinder and to draw the teeth shade onto the mouth area of the frame. Face and mouth positions are computed on this device in real time. Frames are not stored anywhere unless you record a take, and they are never sent off the device.
Grinox asks for microphone access when you tap Record with Sound. Audio is only captured while a take is recording, and it is written into that take. If you decline, Grinox still records and labels the result as a silent take.
Grinox uses add-only photo library access, and only when you tap Save Video. Grinox does not read, browse or index your photo library. If you decline, your videos stay in the app's private collection and you can still export them with the system share sheet.
Creation Credits are bought through the App Store. Apple processes the payment and validates the transaction; Grinox only receives the confirmation needed to add credits to your balance. Grinox never sees your payment details.
The first launch asks for permission to track. If you allow it, a device identifier may be used to measure how well Grinox is performing in app marketing. If you decline, every feature of the app still works exactly the same, and you can change your choice at any time in the system Settings.
The first launch also asks whether Grinox may send notifications. Grinox does not send marketing messages. You can turn notifications off in the system Settings.
Settings contains Clear All Data, which permanently erases your videos, takes, saved looks, preferences and any remaining Creation Credits from this device after a confirmation. Videos you already saved to your photo library are not touched. Removing the app also removes everything it stored.
Grinox is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
